WWE Sunday Night's Main Event Results 9/6 - Oba Femi Takes On Bron Breakker & More

Oba Femi will be in action as he collides with one half of the World Tag Team Champions and Vision member Bron Breakker. Breakker has taken issue with Femi as to who the future of WWE is between the two of them, with Breakker's manager Paul Heyman informing him of his match against Femi tonight on the August 17 episode of "WWE Raw" in the midst of a verbal confrontation between all three men. The two men later signed the contract for their bout on the August 24 edition of "Raw", and while Breakker's World Tag Team Championship partner Austin Theory tried to help Breakker beat down Femi when a brawl broke out, Femi ultimately was the man to stand tall. 

Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton will be squaring off against one another for the first time since the former retained his then-Undisputed WWE Championship against the latter at WWE WrestleMania 42 Saturday on April 18. With Orton having cost Rhodes his Undisputed WWE Championship match against CM Punk at WWE SummerSlam Sunday on August 1, the two men have encountered one another in a series of verbal altercations and brawls across the last several editions of "WWE SmackDown". This prompted "SmackDown" General Manager Nick Aldis to put a no-touch clause into effect for Rhodes and Orton on the August 21 edition of the show, making it clear to both of them that they would never be able to challenge for the Undisputed WWE Championship again if they did so. 

Tatum Paxley will be joining forces with Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss to go head-to-head with Jade Cargill, B-Fab, and Michin. Although Flair has shown hesitancy about forging a friendship with Paxley amidst the blossoming friendship between Paxley and Bliss, Flair and Bliss have had a number of issues with Cargill, B-Fab, and Michin over the last several weeks. Paxley emerged victorious against Michin in her debut "SmackDown" match on the August 28 edition of the show as Cargill, B-Fab, Bliss, and Flair watched on from the ringside area. 

Rapper Lil Yachty will be making his in-ring debut tonight as he takes on United States Champion Baron Corbin in a non-title match. As per an agreement that was come to on August 21, if Yachty can last five minutes in the ring against Corbin, then Williams will get a shot at Corbin's United States Championship after Corbin had previously dethroned Williams as titleholder at Summerslam Sunday on August 2. 

Additionally, rapper Quavo will be performing for the WWE Universe.

We are live! Michael Cole and Wade Barrett greet audiences at home on the pre-show as Joe Hendry makes his way to the ring. Judgment Day follows.

The bell rings and Dominik delivers a dropkick to Hendry. Hendry fires off stomps on Dominik in the corner of the ring and delivers a vertical suplex to him.

The action spills out of the ring, and Liv Morgan gets in Hendry's face. JD McDonagh steps in, but Hendry shoves him. This opens the door for Dominik to send Hendry crashing out of the ring with a dropkick and land a dive on him through the middle rope, then send his head bouncing off the announce desk and rains down right hands on him back inside the ring.

Dominik delivers a stomp to Hendry using the ropes for leverage and flies into the ring over the top rope from the ring apron. He fires off Hammer and Anvil elbows on Hendry, but Hendry fires off right hands on Dominik and levels him with a back elbow. He then delivers a Fallaway Slam to Dominik and kips up before Dominik catches him with a neckbreaker and goes for a pin. Hendry kicks out and lands a vertical suplex on Dominik, then levels him with a clothesline and goes for a pin.

Dominik kicks out, but Morgan hops up onto the ring apron to distract the referee. Hendry knocks an interfering McDonagh off the ring apron, opening the door for Dominik to dial it up for a 619 on Hendry and follow it up with a Frog Splash off the top rope on him for the win.

Winner: Dominik Mysterio

After the match, Morgan grabs a microphone and says what Dominik just did to Hendry is what she'll do to Stephanie Vaquer tomorrow on "Raw". She promises to retain the Women's World Championship against Vaquer to continue being the greatest Women's World Champion of all time. 

We are live on the main show! The show kicks off with a music video from Quavo interspersed with clips of events leading up to various matches on the "Sunday Night's Main Event" card.

Michael Cole and Wade Barrett greet audiences at home once again as Quavo appears on the entrance ramp to perform for the WWE Universe. 

Lil Yachty then makes his way to the ring, with Lilian Garcia clarifying that Trick Williams gets his United States Championship tonight if Yachty lasts five minutes in the upcoming match. Baron Corbin follows. 

Corbin tells Yachty that it's his last chance to back out now. He invites Yachty to take a hike, but Yachty clocks him with the microphone. The bell rings and Yachty pins Corbin. Corbin kicks out and pulls Yachty out of the ring, then sends him crashing into the barricade head first.

Two of Yachty's friends drag him out through the crowd, but Corbin tosses both of them into the ringside area. Yachty cracks a kendo stick across Corbin's shoulder and arms when Corbin pulls him from halfway under the ring, then continues to crack it on him back inside the ring.

Corbin levels Yachty, and Yachty's two friends check on him. Corbin delivers a Deep Six to one of them and End of Days to the other, but Yachty delivers a hurricanrana to Corbin off the middle rope and ascends back up to the middle. He delivers a crossbody to Corbin as the clock passes halfway to the five minutes, but Corbin delivers an End of Days to Yachty and rains down right hands on him.

Corbin grabs a table from under the ring and sets it up as 30 seconds remains on the clock. He drags Yachty up the ropes, but Yachty trips up Corbin to send him crashing into the top rope groin first. The five minus expires, and Yachty wins the match.

Winner: Lil Yachty

After the match, Corbin chokeslams Yachty through the table. Trick Williams then makes his way to the ring. 

The bell rings and Williams delivers a pair of leg lariats to Corbin. He clotheslines him out of the ring and checks on Yachty, but Corbin sends Williams crashing into the ring post and dumps Yachty into the timekeeper's area.

Williams runs over Corbin and dumps him back in the ring, then levels Corbin with a clothesline and follows it up with a flapjack. He kips up and lands a chop on Corbin, then fires off stomps on him in the corner.

Williams delivers a Fireman's Carry Driver to Corbin and lines up for the Trick Shot, but Corbin dumps Williams onto the ring apron and sends him crashing into the ring post shoulder first. Corbin dumps Williams back inside the ring and rains down elbow strikes on him, then wears him down with a submission hold.

Williams powers up to his feet, but Corbin levels Williams with a clothesline and sends him crashing into the mat spine first. The two men exchange right hands with one another, but Williams connects with a neckbreaker on Corbin and sets up for a leg lariat. Corbin intercepts Williams and lands a chokeslam on him, then goes for a pin but Williams kicks out.

Williams lands a Book End on Corbin and sets up for a Trick Shot, but Corbin connects with a Deep Six on Williams and goes for a pin. Williams kicks out and lands a Bull Dog on Corbin, but Corbin sends Williams crashing into the post face first.

Corbin spots his United States Championship belt and grabs it, but Yachty yanks it away from him. The referee is distracted by Yachty as Corbin hits Williams with the United States Championship belt and pins him, but Williams kicks out. Corbin then sets up for End of Days, but Williams escapes and delivers a Trick Shot to Corbin for the win.

Winner (and new): Trick Williams

Paul Heyman introduces Bron Breakker and Oba Femi, and they both make their way to the ring. 

The bell rings and Breakker runs the ropes. Femi levels Breakker with a shoulder tackle and charges at him, but Breakker rolls out of the ring and Femi follows him out there.

Femi sends Breakker crashing into the ring apron face first, but Breakker looks to fly off the ring apron to take out Femi on the outside. Femi intercepts Breakker with a loud chop to level him, then clears the announce desk. Breakker delivers a flying clothesline to Femi to send him crashing over the announce desk and lands a kick on his chest, then dumps him back in the ring.

Breakker levels Femi with a clothesline and jams his knee into the back of his neck, but Femi whips Breakker into the corner of the ring spine first. Breakker responds with a lungblower to Femi and pins him, but Femi kicks out and Breakker wears him down with a submission hold.

Femi fires off elbows on Breakker to escape the hold, but Breakker delivers a German suplex to Femi and asks Femi what he's the future of. Femi gets fired up, but Breakker clotheslines Femi out of the ring and sends him crashing into the ring apron spine first. The two men exchange right hands with one another, but Femi rocks Breakker with an uppercut. Breakker delivers a jumping knee to Femi and follows it up with a German suplex, but Femi recovers quickly and levels Breakker with a running clothesline. He lands two more clotheslines on Breakker and whips him into the corner spine first, then sends him crashing into the top turnbuckle head first and connects with a chokeslam on Breakker.

The action spills out of the ring, and Femi levels Breakker with an uppercut. Austin Theory appears, but Femi sends Theory crashing through the announce desk. This opens the door for Breakker to spear Femi and land a second one on him in the ring before he goes for a pin. Femi kicks out, but Logan Paul's music hits and he runs out to the ring to distract the referee.

The referee argues with Paul as Maxxine Dupri hands Breakker a pair of brass knuckles. Breakker looks to hit Femi with them, but Femi has Breakker scoped out and sends him crashing into the mat spine first.

Bronson Reed appears out of nowhere and repeatedly hits FEmi with a chair, causing the disqualification.

Winner: Oba Femi (via disqualification)

After the match, Reed delivers a Tsunami to Femi and holds him in place for Breakker to deliver a spear to him. Reed then lands two more Tsunamis and Breakker delivers a spear to Femi before Reed connects with another Tsunami on Femi.

We then head backstage, where Cathy Kelley looks to catch up with Heyman about what just happened with Reed, Breakker, and Femi. Heyman says he has a lot to say, but walks off when someone calls him on the phone and implies he has a lot to say to said person.

Back at ringside, Tatum Paxley, Alexa Bliss, and Charlotte Flair then make their way to the ring. Jade Cargill, B-Fab, and Michin  follow. 

Paxley and B-Fab begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. B-Fab shoves Paxley's face, but B-Fab levels Paxley and tags in Michin. Paxley rocks B-Fab with a back elbow and takes down her and Michin, then dropkicks Cargill to send her crashing off the ring apron when Cargill looks to get inside the ring.

Paxley rocks Michin with an enzuigiri to her head, but Cargill trips her on the ring apron as the referee is distracted by Michin. She rocks Paxley with a knee strike, opening the door for Michin to rain down right hands and left hands on Paxley.

B-Fab tags in and delivers a double suplex to Paxley with Michin. Bliss tags in and rocks B-Fab with a pair of shoulder tackles, then delivers a knee strike and a shotgun dropkick on B-Fab. She connects with a Natural Selection on B-Fab and sets up for Sister Abigail, but Michin distracts Bliss to allow B-Fab to deliver a spinning flatliner to Bliss.

Cargill tags in and lands an overhand chop on Bliss, but Michin tags in and continues wearing down Bliss. B-Fab tags in and fires off knees on Bliss' midsection, but Flair and Michin tag in. Flair delivers a crossbody to Michin off the top rope and sends Cargill crashing off the ring apron with a big boot, then pulls Michin off the ropes. Cargill makes the blind tag in and delivers an off the shoulder spinning sit-out powerbomb on her, then goes for a pin but Paxley breaks the fall.

B-Fab sends Paxley crashing out of the ring, but Flair rolls up Cargill. Cargill kicks out, but Flair ascends to the top rope and delivers a moonsault to both Cargill and Michin. Flair then pins Cargill, but Cargill kicks out.

Bliss runs the ropes, but B-Fab trips her from the outside and sends her crashing into the ring steps shoulder first. Flair and Paxley look to cinch in Figure Eight Leg Locks on Michin and Cargill, but Michin and Cargill fight them off. This opens the door for Cargill to deliver Jaded to Flair and pin her for the win.

Winners: Jade Cargill, B-Fab, and Michin

Cody Rhodes then makes his way to the ring.

Orton tries to sneak behind Rhodes as his music is playing, but Rhodes spots him and fires off a couple of right hands on Orton. The two men brawl through the crowd, and Rhodes hits Orton twice with a garbage can. Orton hits Rhodes with another garbage can as the pair continue brawling through the crowd, and they exchange right hands with one another.

Orton dumps Rhodes back into the rigside area and sends him crashing into the ring steps shoulder first. Orton spots Rhodes' wife Brandi, his mother Michelle, and his sister Teil in the crowd. He slides into the ring as the bell sounds, and Rhodes cinches in a Figure Four Leg Lock on Orton.

Orton escapes the hold, but Rhodes sets up for a hanging DDT on him. Orton escapes and jams Rhodes' throat into the middle rope, then wears down Rhodes with a submission hold. Rhodes escapes and clotheslines Orton out of the ring, but Orton rakes Rhodes' eyes and fires off a right hand on him in the corner back inside the ring.

Rhodes trips up Orton and rains down right hands of his own on him, but Orton sends Rhodes crashing into the announce desk spine first twice on the outside. He dumps Rhodes back inside the ring once again and saunters over to Brandi, Michelle, and Teil in the crowd.

Brandi gets in Orton's face and throws her drink at him. Rhodes catches Orton with a scoop powerslam inside the ring and connects with a Disaster Kick on him, then follows it up with the Bionic Elbow and sets up for a Cross-Rhodes. Orton escapes and levels Rhodes with a pair of clotheslines, then lands a scoop powerslam on him and follows it up with a hanging DDT. He sets up for a RKO, but Rhodes counters into a Cross-Rhodes and goes for a pin. Orton kicks out.

Orton sets up for an RKO on Rhodes, but Rhodes escapes and is accidentally sent crashing into the referee while Orton has the referee trapped in the corner. Orton lands a RKO on Rhodes not realizing that the referee is down, then lines up for a Punt. Rhodes sees Orton coming and lands a Cross-Rhodes on him, then accidentally hits the referee a second time when he flies out of the ring.

Rhodes sends Orton's face repeatedly bouncing off the announce desk and hits him with the ring steps, then dumps Orton back inside the ring and delivers a Cody Cutter to him. Rhodes then lands two Cody Cutters on Orton and lines up for a Punt on Orton. Orton stops Rhodes and begs him not to deliver it, but a second referee runs out to the ring to check on Orton as Orton bleeds from his ear from the ring steps.

Orton low blows Rhodes and the second referee in the process, then blindsides Rhodes with a RKO. The first referee comes to as Orton pins Rhodes for the win.
