Tommaso Ciampa Challenges Kazuchika Okada To AEW All Out Title Match
Tommaso Ciampa has already held gold in AEW since he debuted earlier this year, but now he has his eyes on a new prize, the AEW International Championship, and has challenged Kazuchika Okada to a match at AEW All Out 2026.
For the past few weeks, Ciampa has made it very clear that he wanted a match at All Out 2026, but on the September 16 episode of "AEW Dynamite," he revealed that the match he wanted more than anything was against "The Rainmaker" and officially issued a challenge to the champion. Later in the show, Okada was asked by Renee Paquette what his answer was, and after a lot of thought, he called Ciampa a b****. Naturally, Ciampa didn't take this answer very well and attacked Okada backstage, stating that he doesn't want Ciampa versus Okada, he wants the "Psycho Killer" versus "The Rainmaker." The match was eventually made official by AEW President Tony Khan.

The match marks the first time ever that Ciampa and Okada have ever crossed paths, and the first title defense for "The Rainmaker" since winning the AEW International Championship at AEW All In London 2026. It will also be Ciampa's first championship match since his failed attempt to take the AEW World Championship from Darby Allin back in April, and the first championship match on pay-per-view for the "Psycho Killer."
Okada has been one of the names at the top of Ciampa's dream match list since he arrived in AEW, recently stating in an appearance on the "Battleground" podcast that he has always dreamt of wrestling "The Rainmaker" one-on-one. He also stated that he wants to wrestle Will Ospreay, Kenny Omega, and Jon Moxley, and if he's able to get the win over Okada at All Out, Ciampa will be firmly planted in AEW's main event scene heading into the final months of the year.
