Lil Yachty On How He's Feeling After WWE SNME Match With Baron Corbin: 'Like S***'

After months of being by Trick Williams' side, Lil Yachty finally put his money where his mouth is and stepped into a WWE ring at WWE Sunday Night's Main Event on September 6. The rapper lasted five minutes in the ring with Baron Corbin, which meant that Williams earned a shot at Corbin's WWE United States Championship that Williams would go on to win.

Despite only wrestling for five minutes, Yachty found out the hard way what it actually takes to be a professional wrestler, and when he was asked how he was feeling by Chris Van Vliet on the "Insight" podcast, Yachty was brutally honest.

"I feel like s***. I feel like someone hit me with a bag of bricks," Yachty said. "My kneecaps [hurt the most], but when I woke up this morning my shoulder felt dislocated. My kneecaps, my shins, I couldn't even tighten my hand, and as the day is going on, everything's like loosening up. When I first sat up in the bed, it was the most pain I ever felt in my life. Shins, knees, whatever this is behind the kneecap, my back, my lower back, I feel like I've been wrestling for 20 years. It's bad."

One would imagine that for someone like Yachty, being chokeslammed through a table by someone like Corbin would have been the most painful thing he experienced in his match, but that wasn't the case. In fact, Yachty admitted that the most painful move he took was extremely simple.

"The clothesline," Yachty said, revealing that he had always wanted to take a clothesline because of how impactful JBL used to make them look. "I don't think that was anywhere near JBL's, but it hurt so [bad] and I thought it would not be [painful], and I thought he first did it, I thought I wasn't going to be able to finish. Like I could not breathe at all, like that was not selling."

Yachty admitted that he thinks Corbin put a little extra force into the clothesline as a receipt for Yachty hitting him a little too hard with a microphone earlier in the match. 

Due to the fact that they only had five minutes to work with, Baron Corbin and Lil Yachty could only do so much at WWE Sunday Night's Main Event. Yachty was happy with what they were able to do in such a short timeframe, but he did reveal that due to the time constraints, the match didn't end up being as crazy as originally intended. 

"It was going to be crazier," Yachty said. "I didn't do s***. I have no control over nothing, I was grateful, but I was really going to die. Yeah, but I think for the sake of time we pulled back thank god, but it was going to be bad." When asked about being chokeslammed through a table, Yachty admitted that the adrenaline was rushing so much that he didn't feel too bad in the moment. However, it was when the adrenaline wore off that he was in a lot of pain, but he was happy with how it turned out.

Now that it seems like Yachty is in WWE for the long-run, he should get more chances to get physical in the ring and improve at being a wrestler. He has been open about wanting more matches, including against Trick Williams who he considers one of his best friends.
