Bully Ray Felt LA Knight's WWE Raw Promo Missed The Mark

LA Knight is World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns' next challenger, with the pair set to face off for the gold at Money in the Bank. With Reigns notoriously on a part-time schedule, it was Knight who cut a promo on Monday's "WWE Raw" to further their feud.

In the promo, Knight put over both Reigns and Penta for their match in Mexico City, and also acknowledged his hesitance in thinking that no one can beat "The Tribal Chief." There were notes of self doubt in Knight's promo, something "Busted Open Radio's" Bully Ray said he wasn't a fan of. He said he would have preferred something more typical from "The Megastar."

"I need to see LA Knight be extremely confident," he said. "I don't need to see ego. I don't need to see braggadocious. I like the fact that he was willing to put Roman and Penta over, especially giving Roman his props, but all that being said, 'I'm still going on to Money in the Bank and I'm going to prove to you, Roman, how I wasn't the guy for the past three years, but why I am the guy now.' I don't think there's any room for the jokes or the self doubt for LA Knight."

Bully Ray said that Knight showing up in Mexico City to lay out Reigns after his victory didn't show self doubt. He explained that showed how opportunistic Knight can be, and now, he wants to hear the "verbal version" of the physicality.

"'The next time I hit you with a BFT, you're going to hear 'one, two, three' and LA Knight will become your new World Heavyweight Champion,'" he said.
