WWE Main Event Headed To New Streaming Platform

WWE "Main Event" has a new home.

Beginning on October 14, fans will be able to watch the show on the video platform Rumble, according to Variety. The show will air Wednesdays at 8 PM ET on rumble.com/WWE as well as through connected TV and mobile apps. 

"Main Event" features talent from "Raw", "SmackDown", and "NXT. It has had multiple homes since its inception in 2012, most recently on WWE's YouTube channel. 

Alex Varga, who was WWE Co-Head of Revenue in March, said "serving a digital-first audience is a core focus for WWE, and Rumble has built an accessible platform that is committed to delivering premium sports and entertainment programming."

Rumble's Chief Content Officer, Claudio Ramolo explained why WWE is a good fit for their programming. "WWE content has consistently ranked among the most-watched programming on television, top streaming platforms and social media for decades — a rare combination that resonates with both fans and advertisers alike."

In 2013, Rumble was founded as an alternative to YouTube. It gained popularity in 2020 when prominent alt-right figures like Nick Fuentes began using the platform after claiming YouTube was censoring him and others.
