AEW All Out 2026 Tag Match Stopped By Referee After Apparent Injury To Steven Borden
The tag match between Darby Allin and Steven Borden and Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher ended via referee stoppage following an injury to Borden at AEW All Out 2026. The injury is reportedly legitimate and the match was called off early, with everyone involved appearing shaken by the events. Dave Meltzer reported Borden left on a stretcher.

Before the match started, Fletcher pulled Borden's leg to make him fall when posing. When the bell rang, he said he wanted the rookie. Fletcher backed Borden up to the ropes. Fletcher and Knight attempted to double team him when Allin got involved and sent them to the outside. Borden took Fletcher down with an armdrag. Knight tagged in and Borden took him down with a deep armdrag. He took Knight down with a shoulder tackle and dropkicked him. Allin tagged in and put Knight in a side headlock.
Knight punched Allin and ran out of the ring. Fletcher and Knight pummeled Allin and cut him off like they attempted to do with Borden. Knight pulled Allin's leg out on the ropes and Fletcher knocked Borden off the apron. Knight sent Allin into the barricade and sent him to Fletcher, who dumped Allin onto the steps. They kept Allin in their corner and double teamed him. Fletcher tagged in without Allin's knowledge and he lawndarted him into the turnbuckles. Fletcher spit on Borden. Allin used the distraction for a Scorpion Death Drop. Borden tagged in, but the ref missed it and Fletcher threw Allin to the outside.
Borden took down Fletcher and Knight repeatedly. He went for a Stinger Splash, but missed and crashed on the floor. They sent Borden into the barricade. Allin landed a tope suicida on Fletcher. Knight leapt off the announce desk to take out Allin. Knight put Allin in the ring and in the Tree of Woe. Borden pulled Allin out and climbed the top rope. He and Fletcher leapt at one another before crashing to the mat, where Borden appeared to hit his head hard and remained down after the spot. Doc Sampson checked on Borden while Callis checked on Fletcher. The match ended because of Borden's injury and Fletcher and Knight were awarded the victory. The cameras remained off Borden following the match.
Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp confirmed that the injury to Borden was legitimate and not an angle.

Later in the broadcast, Tony Schiavone provided an update, stating that Borden was conscious and responsive, and that he had arrived at the hospital for treatment.
