Emotional Tony Khan Honors The Late Pac, Announces Tribute Show For AEW Dynamite
AEW President Tony Khan made an extremely emotional announcement ahead of Monday's Ring of Honor tapings in Jacksonville, Florida. Khan told the crowd, while also streaming to his X (formerly Twitter) account, that Wednesday's edition of "AEW Dynamite" from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania will be a tribute show to the late PAC, real name Benjamin Satterley, who tragically died on Sunday at the age of 40.
A visibly emotional Khan, wearing a black armband with "PAC" written on it, kicked off the tapings with a moment of silence and a 10-bell salute. He told everyone that the stars wrestling on both the ROH tapings, as well as on Wednesday, are doing so voluntarily, he believes to honor Satterley.
"It's important for us to take a moment and talk about somebody that has accomplished so much in life as a wrestler, as a friend," Khan told the crowd. "Somebody who I think would have been successful at any walk of life that they set their mind to. And he set his mind to being one of the greatest wrestlers of all time and I believe he succeeded in that."
Khan mentioned that the Pittsburgh setting is fitting, as PAC was in the main event of the first-ever "Dynamite" in the city. He wrestled Jon Moxley, who would go on to become his Death Riders stablemate.

Satterley's last match before his passing came the day before, when he opened AEW All Out against National Champion Andrade El Idolo. He also appeared in the main event of the show when he attempted to help Moxley in his AEW World Championship bout against Will Ospreay.
