Dave Meltzer: People Looking At Penta Differently After WWE Raw Match Vs. Roman Reigns

Penta recently received one of his biggest opportunities in WWE so far, when he took on Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship. While he wasn't successful in his clash against 'The Original Tribal Chief,' he caught the eyes of many fans.

Per Dave Meltzer during an episode of the "Wrestling Observer Radio," WWE officials are also happy with Penta's performance. 

"I have heard from people in the company when [this match happened], and you know there's no denying Penta," he said. Meltzer further explained that this particular episode of "RAW" was the highest-rated one except for the "RAW After 'Mania" episode this year. "It drew the second-biggest number of the year, against a Monday Night Football game that had 23.2 million viewers, so realistically, if you take away that Monday Night Football game, it probably beats the Raw After WrestleMania; almost certainly, actually."

In an interview on "SA Live," Penta commented on his clash against the 'OTC,' calling it one of the biggest nights of his life and praising the World Heavyweight Champion. Penta felt that he'd represented Mexico well, despite losing to Reigns, and made his intentions clear to get a rematch. Considering that he's qualified for the Men's Money in the Bank match, Penta could decide to go after Reigns' title if he wins the match and possibly win the belt if he manages to defeat the 'OTC.'
