WWE NXT Results 9/29 - NXT & Women's North American Championships Both On The Line, More

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.'s results for "WWE NXT" on September 29, 2026, coming to you live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida!

Grayson Waller will be putting his NXT Championship on the line for the first time on television since becoming titleholder at "NXT" Heatwave on August 30 as he defends against Mason Rook. With Rook having defeated Tony D'Angelo and Saquon Shugars in a Triple Threat Number One Contenders Match for the NXT Championship on the September 15 episode of "NXT", himself and Waller found themselves involved in a tense verbal confrontation during last Tuesday's edition of "NXT".

Former Women's North American Champion Thea Hail looks to recapture the Women's North American Championship tonight when she challenges current titleholder Zaria. Hail and AAA Reina de Reinas Champion La Catalina defeated Zaria and NXT Women's Champion Kelani Jordan last Tuesday in tag team action when Hail countered an F5 from Zaria by rolling her up.

The 2026 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic will be continuing tonight, as DarkState's Osiris Griffin and Cutler James face Nathan Frazer and Axiom while BirthRight's Channing "Stacks" Lorezno and Uriah Connors square off against Chazz "Starboy" Hal and Mini Vikingo in a pair of first round matches. Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno and The Creed Brothers all advanced to the quarterfinals last Tuesday, defeating Los Americanos and Jax Presley and Harley Riggins respectively in a pair of first round matches.

Additionally, Myles Borne will be making an appearance on tonight's show as of last Tuesday after issuing a fake public apology to Tavion Heights on the September 8 episode of "NXT" for turning his back on him at Heatwave only to blindside Heights with a Borne Again.

We are live! Vic Joseph and Booker T greet audiences at home as we head over to a video from earlier today. "NXT" General Manager Robert Stone informs Grayson Waller outside the Performance Center and tells him Mason Rook has not been medically cleared tonight. He also informs Waller that he will still be defending his NXT Championship in an Open Challenge.

Back at ringside, Thea Hail makes her way out. Zaria follows. 

The bell rings and Zaria sends Hail crashing into the corner spine first. She lands a suplex on Hail and sends her crashing into the top turnbuckle face first, then fires off shoulders on Hail's midsection.

Hail sends Zaria's arm bouncing off the top rope and delivers a boot to Zaria's face, then looks to deliver a hurricanrana on her. Hail cinches in a cross armbreaker on Zaria, but Zaria escapes and levels Hail with a discus lariat on the outside.

Zaria rains down Hammer and Anvil elbows on Hail back in the ring during the commercial break, then wears her down with a submission hold. Hail low bridges Zaria over the top rope back from the break, then delivers a Tornado DDT to her on the outside and ascends to the top rope. She levels Zaria with a crossbody and a pair of clotheslines, then lands a suplex on her.

Hail cinches in a Kimura Lock on Zaria, but Zaria sends Hail crashing into the middle rope face first and delivers a spear to her. She follows it up with an F5 to Hail for the win.

Winner (and still): Zaria

Myles Borne then makes his way to the ring. 

Borne says he meant everything he said in his public apology to Tavion Heights two weeks ago. He says when he apologized, he was back to being the man that he didn't want to be. He says he thought he could have everything at Heatwave, but he lost his North American and NXT Tag Team Championships and recalls Ethan Page telling him he didn't have a killer instinct. He says there can only be one face on the brand at the top, and there can't be two people. He says he deserves to be on the top and says he did himself a disservice, then says he had to make a career defining decision.

Borne says the fans tried to make him feel guilty by taking pity on him under the guise of wanting to support him. He says the fans came to meet and greets to tell him that he was a big inspiration, but it was really a way for the fans to feel better about themselves like Heights was. He says without Heights, he would still be the North American Champion. He tells the fans not to feel sorry for him and says he feels sorry for the fans, then says he's done being the bigger person and treating people the way he wants to because it's gotten him nowhere. He says he's going to be the real version of himself that won't break.

Chazz "Starboy" Hall and Mini Vikingo then make their way to the ring. BirthRight follows. 

Mini Vikingo and Uriah Connors begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. Connors delivers a bodyslam to Mini Vikingo, but Starboy and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo tag in. Starboy delivers a kick to Stacks' chin and tags out to Mini Vikingo before Mini Vikingo and Starboy look to fly through the ropes to take out Connors and Stacks on the outside. Stacks sends Starboy crashing into the ring steps shoulder first, and Connors sends Mini Vikingo crashing into the ring post.

Connors dumps Mini Vikingo back inside the ring and lands a pair of backbreakers on him during the commercial break. Starboy tags in and lands a standing moonsault on Connors, but Connors distracts the referee in order for Stacks to land a chokeslam on him on the ring apron.

Stacks tags in and Connors whips him into the corner for Stacks to land an uppercut on Starboy. Stacks connects with a right hand on Starboy, but Connors tags in and flies off the top rope to level Starboy back from the break. Stacks tags back in, but Starboy levels Stacks and Connors with a double flipping kick to their head.

Mini Vikingo tags in and delivers a double dropkick to both Connors and Stacks. He sends Stacks crashing into the middle turnbuckle face first and lands a Tornado DDT on Connors, then ascends to the top rope and looks to fly. Stacks catches him, but Vikingo rolls up Stacks. Stacks kicks out, but Starboy tags back in and delivers a Phoenix Splash to Connors after Connors has tagged in on his side.

Stacks tags in, but Connors delivers a springboard cutter to Starboy. Stacks flies off the top rope with an elbow drop and pins Starboy, but Mini Vikingo flies into the ring from the ring apron to break the fall. All four men then exchange strikes with one another before Mini Vikingo flies over the top rope to take out Connors on the outside. Starboy then rolls up Stacks, but Stacks kicks out and Mini Vikingo lands a flip off the top rope on Stacks for the win.

Winners: Mini Vikingo and Starboy

After the match, BirthRight beat down Mini Vikingo and Starboy until Zilla Fatu's music hits and he runs out to the ring. He lands a pop-up Samoan Drop on Stacks, then makes it clear he's keeping his eye on Grayson Waller's Open Challenge for the NXT Championship.

We then head over to a video from Mike Santana, who also enters Waller's Open Challenge for the NXT Championship.

Kelani Jordan then makes her way out. 

Jordan says one of the things she loves about being NXT Women's Champion is that she's no longer an afterthought. She addresses the suspended Wren Sinclair and says she's not going to be a champion who hands out title matches because no one handed her anything. She says wanting something and earning something are two different things, then says she will only put the NXT Women's Championship against someone who deserves it.

Robert Stone appears on the entrance ramp and reveals Jordan's next challenger will be determined in a 20 Woman Number One Contenders Battle Royal next week with talent from "Raw", "SmackDown", AAA, "WWE EVOLVE", and TNA Wrestling. Reina Volcan then blindsides Jordan with a clothesline from behind and lands an elbow drop on Jordan before declaring herself as an entrant in the 20 Woman Number One Contenders Battle Royal.

DarkState then makes their way to the ring. Nathan Frazer and Axiom follow.

Osiris Griffin and Axiom begin the action. The bell rings and Frazer and Axiom deliver a double dropkick to Griffin after Frazer has tagged in. Griffin sends Frazer crashing into the corner spine first, but Frazer fires off chops on Griffin in the corner and fires off right hands on him.

Cutler James tags in and whips Frazer into the corner chest first, then sends him crashing into the top turnbuckle face first. James and Griffin blindside Frazer and Axiom from behind, and James delivers a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker to Axiom. Griffin tags back in during the commercial break and lands a pair of elbow drops on Axiom, then connects with a Vader Bomb on him and goes for a pin. Axiom kicks out.

James wears down Axiom with a submission hold, but Frazer and Griffin tag in back from the break. He lands a Frog Splash on Griffin and pins him, but Griffin kicks out and Frazer and Axiom deliver a double dropkick to Griffin off the top rope.

James tags in and DarkState sets up for a double powerbomb on Axiom. Frazer comes to Axiom's aid and tags in, but Axiom lands a Spanish Fly on James off the top rope and flies out of the ring to take out Griffin. Frazer then connects with a Phoenix Splash on Griffin off the adjacent top rope for the win.

Winners: Nathan Frazer and Axiom

We then head over to Kendal Grey in another therapy session. 

Back at ringside, Grayson Waller makes his way out. Several members of the "NXT" roster look to run out, but Zilla Fatu and Mike Santana look to answer the call for the NXT Championship Open Challenge. The two men end up taking one another out, but EK Prosper slides into the ring to answer the call. 

The bell rings and Prosper delivers a moonsault to level Waller on the outside. Prosper delivers a Frog Splash to Waller off the top rope, then lands a shotgun dropkick on Waller's spine during the commercial break. Prosper rolls up Waller back from the break, but Waller kicks out and pins Prosper. Prosper kicks out, but Waller fires off kicks on the side of Prosper's head.

Waller wears down Prosper with a submission hold, then fires off kicks on Prosper and sends him crashing into the exposed part of the top turnbuckle from the ring apron. Waller continues to wear down Prosper throughout the commercial break and sits him on the top rope back from the break, but Prosper escapes and sits Waller on the top rope. Waller moves out of the way to send Prosper crashing into the top rope groin first, then delivers a Death Valley Driver to Prosper.

Prosper levels Waller with a pair of clotheslines and a thrust kick, then connects with a Tornado DDT on Waller and delivers a Michinoku Driver to him. Waller runs over Prosper with a clothesline on the outside, then clears the announce desk and rocks him with a right hand. Prosper flies off the ropes with an asai moonsault to send Waller crashing through the announce desk. William lands a rolling stunner on Prosper from outside the ring, then follows it up with a rolling cutter for the win.

We then head over to a brief video from Zilla Fatu moments before the show goes off the air, with Zilla putting BirthRight on notice.
