WWE's The Rock Issues Heartfelt Statement On The Death Of AEW Star Pac

WWE star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson issued a heartfelt statement on Tuesday, following the death of AEW star Pac, real name Benjamin Satterley, once known as "The King of the Cruiserweights," Neville, in WWE. Johnson took to his Instagram account, writing a heartfelt post to go alongside a video message.

The Rock said he wanted to send the Satterley family his love and condolences. He said he met Satterley a few times in WWE and shook his hand. He went on to say in the video that as global as professional wrestling is, wrestlers are still a tight-knit group.

"Because we all share the same DNA and that is our love and our passion for the squared circle and to perform for audiences around the world," he said. "But when we lose one of our own, it hurts. When they're young and so insanely talented, it really f****** hurts... To my friend Tony Khan, I'm so sorry for your loss. My friend QT [Marshall] and the entire locker rooms, all the locker rooms, the men and women of AEW, I'm so sorry for your loss. To those of course, my colleagues in WWE who knew him well, I'm so sorry."

Johnson put over AEW and said the promotion is growing into a "phenomenal wrestling company." He wrapped up his video by once again sending his best wishes to Satterley's family, and said everyone who knew him can use his loss to guide them on how to live every day, as we never know what's around the corner.

AEW announced on social media on Sunday night that Pac had tragically passed away at the age of 40. The star had just competed the previous night at AEW All Out, opening the show against National Champion Andrade.
