WWE's Corey Graves Reacts To Pac's Death: 'Gravity Forgot Him, We Never Will'
WWE commentator Corey Graves paid tribute on social media to the late AEW star Pac, real name Benjamin Satterley, who died at the age of 40 on Sunday. The pair teamed together in "WWE NXT," where Pac was known as Neville, in 2013, where they won the NXT Tag Team Championships.
Graves took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a carousel of photos of himself winning the titles alongside Satterley, as well as a shot from a match the pair had together in "NXT's" "black and gold" era. He penned a heartfelt post to go along with the photos, and said it was impossible to sum up what Satterley meant to him. He wrote that the star was alongside him for every major step of his career.
"He was my friend. My tag team partner. My greatest rival," Graves wrote. "The 1st match I ever called at WrestleMania was his. The absolute best in the ring. Somehow even better outside of it. My heart is with Ben's incredible wife, family and his friends and fans all over the world. Gravity forgot him. We never will."
Satterley was known as "The Man That Gravity Forgot," due to his high-flying abilities, first on the independent scene, and during his time on WWE's main roster, beginning in 2015. He and Graves began teaming together on a regular basis in "NXT" in the summer of 2013. They defeated the Wyatt Family's Luke Harper and Erick Rowan to capture the NXT Tag Team Championships in July, to go on to reign for 84 days.
After they couldn't recapture the gold, Graves attacked Neville, kicking off their rivalry. Their last match, a Neville victory, came in March 2014 during an "NXT" house show.
