Due to the fact that AEW All Out 2026 took place on a Saturday, "AEW Collision" was moved from its regular timeslot and added on to the end of the September 23 episode of "AEW Dynamite" to make a three-hour spectacular for fans to indulge in. On the "Collision" part of the show, Chris Jericho and Nick Wayne laid down the gauntlet for each other to have a match at AEW Grand Slam France. Queen Aminata picked up another major victory, this time over Skye Blue, and while fans didn't know it at the time, PAC would wrestle in the penultimate match of his career against Ace Austin before his tragic passing a few days later.

Despite being preempted and moved to a different night, "Collision" faired well in the TV ratings thanks to airing immediately after "Dynamite." Wrestlenomics has confirmed that the September 23 episode of "Collision" averaged a total of 493,000 viewers, marking a 46% increase on the last episode's 337,000 viewers which aired live on September 19. This is also 44% above the trailing four week average of 343,000 viewers, the same figure as the average for September 2026 which is 32% higher than the September 2025 average that also included a preempted episode that aired on a Wednesday night. The third-quarter average for 2026 now sits at 383,000 viewers for "Collision," which is 30% above the same period in 2025, and as always, these figures do not include those who streamed the show live on HBO MAX.

Airing after "Dynamite" gave "Collision" a huge boost in the 18-49 demographic as well as the show posted a 0.08 number, double what the show four days earlier posted. 0.08 was also 33% above the trailing four week average which was, at the time, 0.06. Due to the lateness in these figures being released, Wrestlenomics couldn't confirm where "Collision" placed in the prime time cable rankings, though it would have been below "Dynamite" as that show posted a 0.10 number.
