Stephanie Vaquer To Defend Women's World Title In Triple Threat Match At WWE MITB
After plenty of interference to end the number one contender's match for the Women's World Championship in the main event of "WWE Raw," including from champion Stephanie Vaquer herself, "La Primera" will officially be taking on both Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan in a triple threat at Money in the Bank.
Lynch took it to Morgan to start off, sending her nearly face-first off the commentary desk with a baseball slide. Morgan sent Lynch into the ring post, then the barricade. Morgan was in control back in the ring, but Lynch was able to get out of the hold she was in to hit a Becksploder.
"The Man" walked into a codebreaker, but was able to take down Morgan. They battled out of the ring once again, and Morgan sent Lynch flying over the desk. Lynch met Morgan up top and hit a second rope suplex, rolled through, and connected with a DDT. She locked in an arm bar, then the Dis-Arm-Her, but Morgan bit Lynch's leg to get out of the hold and locked in a half-crab of her own. Lynch looked for the Manhandle Slam, but was distracted by Raquel Rodriguez coming down the ramp, then was taken out by Roxanne Perez on the other side of the ring.
Lynch dodged the Oblivion and took out Judgment Day before hitting Morgan with the Manhandle Slam, but Rodriguez got Morgan's foot on the ropes. Perez and Rodriguez continued to distract the referee until Vaquer finally ran out.
The referee ejected Judgment Day at Vaquer's behest, and a furious Morgan confronted the champion. Both potential challengers accidentally took out Vaquer on the apron, which brought her in to cause the disqualification by beating them both down. Vaquer grabbed a microphone and asked for Adam Pearce to make the triple threat match at Money in the Bank official, and he obliged, leaving Vaquer to stand tall as the show went off the air.
