Beloved pop culture icon and the man behind Mr. Richard Belding, Dennis Haskins passed away on September 27 at the age of 75. He was dubbed "America's Favorite Principal" after playing Bayside High's principal on "Saved By the Bell" and its predecessor, "Good Morning, Miss Bliss". Haskins was also a wrestling fan and appeared on "Zack Ryder's Z! True Long Island Story" as well as "The JBL & Cole Show".

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer referred to Haskins as a big time wrestling fan and mentioned his appearance on Matt Cardona's show.

"He was Pro Wrestling Syndicate commissioner and WWE actually at one point wanted him to be General Manager, but he didn't want the travel. But yeah, he was a lifelong wrestling fan and I think he was on Raw," Meltzer said. He didn't say if it was for a long time role or just some guest spots.

"And I guess he was friends with Austin Aries. They used to go out and hang out together. Mr. Belding and Austin Aries used to hang out together. They used to go to karaoke and things like that. Go out to dinner. I mean, they were like buddies," Meltzer revealed.
