WWE NXT's Shawn Michaels Announces New Show-Opening Theme Song Via Social Media Video
"WWE NXT" head booker and creative mind Shawn Michaels revealed on X (formerly Twitter) ahead of the show on Tuesday that "NXT" has a new show-opening theme. Michaels posted a video of himself arriving at the WWE Performance Center to the tune of "Shabang" by Drake.
"Nobody does it quite like this crew," Michaels captioned the video. "New music. Same show-stealing Superstars. 'Shabang' by @Drake is the new opening theme for #WWENXT. Turn it up!!"
Michaels' video starts off with him being briefly confronted by NXT Champion Grayson Waller, before he gets to his office and puts on his signature cowboy hat. The video then cuts to various "NXT" stars rapping along to the song, including Zaria, Shiloh Hill, NXT Women's Champion Kelani Jordan, Myka Lockwood and the Vanity Project, EVOLVE Women's Champion Nikkita Lyons, DarkStates, Myles Borne, the "NXT" commentary team and ring announcer Mike Rome, and more.
The video ends with the lights coming up around the ring in the Performance Center to open the show. WWE previously used "Millions From Now" by 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne as the theme of "NXT."

Tuesday's edition of "NXT" will go up against a pre-taped episode of AEW, as the opposing company presents "AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam Paris" from France. A previously-announced 20-woman battle royale featuring stars from the main roster, as well as "NXT," AAA, "WWE EVOLVE," and TNA Wrestling, will determine Jordan's challenger for the NXT Women's title at Halloween Havoc.
The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic will continue on the show. Dorian Van Dux and Sean Legacy will take on the Tokyo Bad Boys, and Hank and Tank are set to face Shido Ash and Viktor Zanov.
