WWE Money in the Bank 2026 closed out with the men's Money in the Bank Ladder match, where six WWE Superstars all fought over the chance to earn a world title match for any time in the next year. CM Punk, Kevin Owens, Penta, Je'Von Evans, Trick Williams, and Bron Breakker put their bodies on the line for the New Orleans crowd, and in the end, it was Penta who became "Mr. Money in the Bank."

All six men were jockeying for position to start things off, with no one being able to string any offense together to take control. That was until Breakker used a variety of Suplexes, Slams, and ladders to take out the entire field before being taken out by Penta who was visibly limping. Punk tasted the steel ladder courtesy of Owens, but both he and Penta were taken out by a returning Breakker, and once Punk got up and tried to retrieve the briefcase, Owens smacked his leg against the ladder to take him out.

Breakker once again wiped out everyone, closing out with a straight knee to the face of Penta, before taking his offense to the outside, scaling the guardrail and the announce table to attack Williams. Punk and Owens continued their personal feud at the same time, before everyone apart from Evans and Breakker ended up in the timekeeper's area. Evans went to take out everyone but he was blindsided by Breakker with a Pounce, resulting in doctors checking on Evans.

In the midst of everything, Punk went for the briefcase and even though Breakker tried to get involved, Punk hit a Russian Leg Sweep off the ladder. Penta tied Punk up in the ladder for a series of kicks but was cut off by Williams as Evans was stretchered out of the bout. Owens laid in to Punk while he was tied up, which included several blatant low blows, before hitting a Pop-Up Spinebuster on the ladder.

Lil Yachty tried to help out Williams but took a Stunner from Owens for his troubles while Evans was loaded into an ambulance backstage. Owens thought he had it but Punk was there again to knock him down, with Penta preventing Punk momentarily as Punk hit the GTS on Penta. Punk and Owens were both taken out by Breakker with a pair of Spears, one in the ring and one through the barricade. Just then, Evans drove the ambulance back to ringside to take Breakker out of the equation, but Breakker recovered in time to push Evans off the ladder and through the roof of the ambulance. Breakker thought he had the match won, but Penta returned to hit a Mexican Destroyer on a bridged ladder to win the match and earn himself a title shot.
