The first-ever Clockwork Carnage match will take place at AEW WrestleDream 2026 on October 17, and three men have already stamped their tickets to Orlando, Florida this Saturday. With the AEW World Championship being on the line in the match, The current AEW World Champion Will Ospreay, Samoa Joe, and "Speedball" Mike Bailey have already qualified, with Joe and Bailey booking their spots thanks to wins at the Grand Slam France editions of "AEW Dynamite" and "AEW Collision," and Ospreay being the defending champion. With less than a week to go until WrestleDream, the rest of the field will be determined this week.

On October 14, AEW will present a special three-hour block of programming on TBS, with "Dynamite" airing over the first two hours and "Collision" taking up the final hour. It will be in those three hours where the rest of the Clockwork Carnage field will be determined. A total of five qualifying matches will take place, including an all Canadian affair as Adam Copeland takes on Josh Alexander. Brian Cage of the Don Callis Family will look to make Callis proud by taking out a former family member in Konosuke Takeshita. Furthermore, Ricochet will go one-on-one with Ace Austin, who is filling in for the injured "Switchblade" Jay White.

The other two qualifying matches will have other championship implications for the immediate future. Despite losing to Ospreay at Grand Slam France, AEW International Champion Kazuchika Okada gets a second chance at the richest prize in the company with a qualifying match against Myron Reed. However, Okada's International Title will be on the line against Reed. Rounding out the qualifiers will be a champion versus champion clash as AEW TNT Champion Darby Allin takes on CMLL World Heavyweight Champion Hechicero, but in that bout, only Darby's TNT Title will be at stake.
