One of the best promos in professional wrestling history was the late "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. Dusty had so many memorable promos throughout his decades-long career, and his son, the "American Nightmare," Cody Rhodes, recently sat down on Mythical Kitchen's "Last Meal" to discuss his favorite.

He said that while a lot of people always cite "Hard Times," he had actually heard it before, when his father cut the promo on Ole Anderson in Georgia Champion Wrestling, which wasn't televised. Rhodes said that his favorite Dusty promo came in WCW in 1994.

"My favorite promo he ever did was with my brother, Dustin, 'The View Never Changes,' talking about neglecting Dustin and wanting to be his partner," Rhodes said. "Our family has lived out in front of them. As much as it's a performance in WWE, you know, however you want to look at it, the character Cody Rhodes is pretty real, you know? I think the main difference is 'Runnels' and 'Rhodes.' To be able to do that promo with my brother and share that moment was kind of the only way he could apologize and tell him he loved him, so that one really stands out to me a lot."

Rhodes said he's glad his father was the promo coach in "WWE NXT" before his passing, as his legacy also lives on through the likes of Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, and more, who learned from him during that time at the WWE Performance Center. Rhodes said that many legends don't get to have that last chapter where they're able to give back, but his father's final chapter in the professional wrestling world was a great one.
