Trey Miguel Earns World Title Shot (With Nic Nemeth's Help) In TNA Impact Main Event
Trey Miguel emerged victorious in a ladder match for a TNA World Championship opportunity during "TNA Impact."
Thursday's show celebrated 35 years of the Hardys and thus saw the brothers booking the show, deciding that Miguel, Moose, Ricky Sosa, Elijah, and International Champion Jason Hotch would all be vying for a shot at Leon Slater's title at Destination X in a ladder match.
Slater only won the title from Nic Nemeth at Sunday's Bound For Glory. Much like Hotch, having beaten Mustafa Ali; Ali would enter the ring during the match to cost Hotch the opportunity with the contract within reach. They brawled back up the ramp to effectively remove Hotch from the competition.
Nemeth would later invade the match looking to seize the opportunity for himself, costing Elijah as he had the contract in hand. And it was Miguel who stopped Nemeth from stealing the contract, pulling him off the ladder, casting him from the ring and claiming it for himself. Destination X takes place on November 15 in Edmonton, Canada.
