R-Truth Appears To Suffer Injury On WWE SmackDown, Match Ends By Referee Stoppage
R-Truth appeared to suffer a legitimate injury during his "WWE SmackDown" match against former tag team partner Damian Priest on Friday. Truth took to the top rope to hit a missile dropkick during the match, and after he landed on the canvas, he was checked on by the referee.
The referee called the match, and Priest retrieved a chair from the timekeeper's area. He looked to go after his former friend, but Nathan Frazer and Axiom slid in the ring to make the save.
According to False Finish on X (formerly Twitter), referee stoppage was not how the match was supposed to end. As of this writing, no further updates on Truth have been giving during the show.
Priest turned heel on Truth after they failed to capture the AAA Tag Team Championships from the War Raiders on the September 11 edition of "SmackDown." After their defeat, Priest helped Truth up, then hit him with the South of Heaven before walking away.
