A group of protesters in Vermont is currently attempting to get WWE banned from running shows in Burlington. The group, which protested outside a recent WWE show at the Burlington Memorial Auditorium, has expressed outrage at storylines involving sexual harassment and extreme violence.

"We've seen in out takes from the footage sexual discrimination, sexual harassment, domestic violence acted out. All these things I don't want my kids seeing as acceptable entertainment," Wendy Huff told the Channel 3 News.

The Burlington Parks & Recreation Board is investigating the situation and evaluating whether or not such a ban is even legal. One possible compromise on the table would involve labeling WWE events as "adults only," but WWE has, in the past, opposed such labels being placed on its shows.
