Chris Benoit's Contract Set To Expire, Leaving WWE?

There is a rumor making the rounds that Chris Benoit s contract is set to expire this month. One could speculate that this may be the reasoning behind Benoit s recent string of losses, including dropping the U.S. Title to Booker T last month. If Benoit's contract does, in fact, expire this month, it will be interesting to see if the former World Champion will receive the same kind of low-ball renewal offers given to Christian and the former Dudleys.

Again, this should be taken as nothing more than a rumor at this point.
