Lots Of Backstage News & Notes From RAW Tonight
Reports indicate that Jamal, who was recently re-signed by WWE, will be backstage at tonight s RAW taping. There are no details available on what in-ring role, if any, he will have at the show.
It is possible that Charlie Haas could make his return as early as tonight as a part of the Shelton Benjamin storyline. They will be bringing his 'Mamma' in at some point as well.
We can confirm that Ian and Axl Rotten are backstage at RAW. No word on if they'll appear on the show or will be working a dark match.
The only confirmed match for RAW tonight in a First Blood match between John Cena and Kurt Angle. The end of this match could give you a pretty clear indication as to what's to come this Sunday at the PPV. It is worth noting that Kurt Angle defeated The Rock on October 22nd, 2000 at No Mercy to win the WWE title for the first time. That title change happened in Albany, NY, site of New Years Revolution.
Tonight's RAW preview is titled "A McMahon-made RAW". That's humorous.
WWE.com has posted backstage photos from RAW. Those featured are Maria, Gregory Helms, Chris Masters, Carlito, Val Venis, and some cameras.
John Cena, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, Chris Masters, Candice Michelle and Todd Grisham will all be leaving for Albany, NY after tonight's RAW for a press conference tomorrow at noon. We'll be there live and will be covering the event here on the site so stay tuned.
