Mysterio, Cena, Angle victorious at Rumble

Rey Mysterio won the 2006 Royal Rumble by eliminating Randy Orton. The final four came down to Triple H, Rob Van Dam, Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio as expected. Triple H eliminated RVD, followed by Mysterio eliminating Triple H and finally Mysterio dumped Orton with a head scissors to win the Rumble. WrestlingInc.com readers had Triple H favored to win the Rumble.

John Cena won the WWE title by defeating Edge after using the FU and STFU, forcing Edge to tap out. The match had Edge dominating almost the entire match.

Kurt Angle successfully defended the World title against Mark Henry. After the match, the Undertaker showed up to challenge Angle at No Way Out. The ring then collapsed with Angle looking freaked out to end the show.

Goldust, Eugene and Tatanka made their returns as surprise entrants in the Rumble.
