The Latest On ECW Tickets & Major Problems Getting Them

Yesterday morning, tickets went on sale for the second annual ECW One Night Stand event, which will take place on June 11th from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

Last year the event did not sell out on the first day of ticket sales. Many attributed this to hugely inflated ticket prices. This year, the ticket prices were scaled back. The ringside seats went for $250, and the cheapest tickets sold for $50. The approximately 2,500 tickets that went on sale sold out almost immediately yesterday morning (reportedly every seat was purchased in under 2 hours). The reason for the immediate sell out this year some will attribute to the price in tickets going down, while others may note that the demand may have been higher for tickets this year after last year's event being such a great show.

Many fans who tried to get tickets this morning are still cursing out ticketmaster's website. Apparently, according to several fan reports, tickets for the event went on sale 15 minutes late on the ticketmaster.com website. Ticketmaster outlets, as well as the Hammerstein Ballroom box office, all started selling tickets right away at 10:00 AM. This caused a large majority of the tickets to already be gone by the time ticketmaster.com put the tickets on sale, 15 minutes later than they should have. A large amount of fans expecting to get their tickets online were left out to dry, so to speak.
