2 WWE Releases, ECW Agents Revealed, & More News

For those who receive the Madison Square Garden Network, it looks like that you could be in with a chance to see some classic WWF action. The Multichannel News is reporting that "content from vintage and current concerts, pro wrestling events and other non-sports fare that have or will play at 'the world's most famous arena' " starting this fall. It was noted that they would air vintage footage several nights a week and that the network was in "negotiations with the rights holders"

WWE developmental talent The Riggs Brothers were released a few weeks back from Ohio Valley Wrestling.

In the Times-Herald Record today features an interview today with former ECW star Tony Devito, who worked as part of the Baldies during the latter end of the company's original run. Devito will be appearing this Thursday evening in Newburgh, NY at World of Hurt Wrestling's "Spring Slam" benefit show at The Newburgh Free Academy. Proceeds from the show will help the school's wrestling program, of which Devito's son is a member. Tommy Dreamer, Jerry Lawler, and Hacksaw Duggan are also appearing on the event.

It has been reported that Dean Malenko and Steve Keirn will be working as agents for the ECW brand. Greg Gagne, who was hired as an agent after WrestleMania 22, has been assigned to helping with WWE developmental talents.
