A TV commercial aired in Dayton, OH last night hyping the June 7 TV taping at the Nutter Center. ECW was more featured this time around and was described as an “unprecedented night in wrestling history” featuring WWE stars vs. ECW stars. Those promoted in the commercial included John Cena, Kurt Angle, Rob Van Dam, The Sandman, JBL, Big Show, Tommy Dreamer, Triple H, Terry Funk and Sabu.
In yet another reference for the event, an e-mail reminder for tickets going on sale for the WWE Vengeance PPV on June 25 sent to local fans in the Charlotte, NC area is listing that John Cena will defend the WWE Championship against Edge. The return of DX is yet again advertised as taking place at the PPV as well. Other names advertised for the event includes Shawn Michaels, Big Show, The Spirit Squad, Kane, Carlito, Shelton Benjamin and “Charlotte’s own” Ric Flair.
