Thanks to Ryan Drew for the following: Matt Hyson (formerly WWE/ECW's Spike Dudley, currently TNA's Brother Runt) and Top Rope Promotions are proud to announce the opening of THE LOCK UP: Pro Wrestling School; with head trainer Matt Hyson. Matt has over 10 years experience in the world of professional wrestling, most of which was spent in national promotions such as Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Currently, Matt still wrestles for the national promotion Total Nonstop Action (TNA). The Lock Up will be holding open tryouts for dedicated men and women looking to get into the professional wrestling business. Open tryouts will be on July 5th 2006 in New Bedford, MA.

It has been announced that Kensuke Sasaki will replace Kenta Kobashi in the "dream" tag match main event of the 7/16 Nippon Budokan show, reports Zach Arnold. It was learned yesterday that Kobashi has a tumor in his kidneys.

Johnny Nitro defeated Chet the Jet to retain the IC title at Wednesday's night OVW taping.

WWE has established the date of our 2006 Annual Meeting of Stockholders. The meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m., September 14, 2006, at our Television Production Facility, 120 Hamilton Avenue, Stamford, Connecticut.

At Wednesday nights OVW tv taping Seth Skyfire defeated C.M. Punk to win the OVW Heavyweight title and a shot at the Smackdown Heavyweight title at 6 Flags the 14th against Rey Misterio.
