Details On 2006 WWE Diva Search; Fans Can Win Money

WWE(R) Diva Search Finalists Debut Tonight on Monday Night RAW(R), Fans Eligible to Win Cash by Voting on Mobile Phone
STAMFORD, Conn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–July 10, 2006–World Wrestling Entertainment? unveils the eight "Sexiest Women On Television" who will compete to become the next new WWE Diva tonight on "Monday Night RAW" (USA 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT).
"$250,000 Diva Search," thousands of hopefuls from across North America answered an open casting call in hopes of realizing their dreams to join World Wrestling Entertainment. Now, eight finalists will get a chance at winning a one-year WWE contract worth a quarter of a million dollars.
Here is a sneak peak at the eight finalists:
Rebecca DiPietro from Providence, R.I.: Crowned Miss Hawaiian Tropic USA 2005, Rebecca is a spokesperson for Hawaiian Tropic and a "Stuff Magazine" model.
Layla El from Miami, Fla.: This Miami Heat Cheerleader/dancer/model has starred in numerous music videos and recently appeared with Kanye West on the "Video Music Awards."
Jen England from Los Angeles, Calif.: From Guess model to Miss Venus Swimwear International to Miss Hawaiian Tropic International, she gained a featured role in the movie "Dodge Ball."
Maryse Ouellet from New Brunswick, Canada: She is a Playboy cover girl, a spokesmodel for Nutrabolics (a successful nutrition company in Canada) and a spokesperson for Children's General Hospital in Canada.
Milena Roucka from Vancouver, Canada and Las Vegas, Nev.: A Ms. Piel Dorada in Latin America and Ms. Hawaiian Tropic, Milena has also gone on to be a spokesmodel and calendar cover girl for the Hawaiian Tropic brand.
J.T. Tinney from Phoenix, Ariz.: J.T. was just discovered as a "Maxim" Hometown Hottie and also appeared on Spike TV as a Hold 'em Honey.
Erica Chevillar from Boca Raton, Fla.: She teaches 10th grade history and is a member of the USA National Bikini Team. She also is currently pursuing a career with Playboy.
Amy Zidian from Orlando, Fla.: Amy is well known in the pageant circles and has successfully earned titles with Hawaiian Tropic and Miss Hooters Alabama.
The Diva Search finalists will appear each week on RAW and on "Friday Night SmackDown?" (UPN 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT). Each week, fans will be encouraged to vote via mobile phone or on wwe.com for their favorite Diva hopeful. The Diva Search finalist receiving the fewest votes each week will be eliminated. The Diva Search winner will be crowned the week of August 14 on a live TV special to air on USA Network.
This year, viewers who vote by mobile phone will be automatically entered into a sweepstakes to win a weekly cash prize of $2,500 and are eligible for a grand prize of $25,000. Fans can vote up to 10 times per week on their mobile phones by texting the name of their favorite Diva to 86946. In addition to standard text messaging charges, a $0.99 premium charge applies to all valid votes received.
Fans can enter the sweepstakes without purchase by visiting divasweeps.com, printing and completing the sweepstakes and entry form, and mailing it to WWE. Other restrictions may apply. Sweepstakes subject to Official Rules available at www.divasweeps.wwe.com.
