Kenzo Suzuki Arrested, RAW Rating, Great American Bash, & More
Daily Sports reports that Kenzo Suzuki has been arrested in Mexico due to violation of the Immigration Control Law. Ultimo Dragon was quoted as saying that he would try to negotiate for the release of Suzuki. According to a magazine source, Suzuki was scheduled to work the CMLL show last Friday at Arena Mexico but did not appear. CMLL did not state a reason for the no-show.
The 7/10 edition of WWE Monday Night RAW drew a final 3.9 cable rating with a 6 share. The first hour scored a 3.5 rating, while the second hour scored a 4.2 rating. That is up from last week's low 3.6 number due to the July 4th holiday. The 7/11 edition of ECW on Sci Fi drew a final 2.4 cable rating. That is way up from last week's low 1.5 rating due to the July 4 holiday and the second best ever so far on the Sci Fi Network. The 7/8 edition of WWE A.M. RAW drew a final 0.8 cable rating with a 3.6 share. The July 7 edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown drew a final 2.7 broadcast rating with a 5 share. That is the strongest number the show has drawn in a while and is up from last week's 2.4 rating.
WWE will be holding a press conference for The Great American Bash PPV on July 17 at Noon in Indianapolis, IN at the Conseco Fieldhouse. Those scheduled for the press conference includes World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio, King Booker, Sharmell, Batista, Bobby Lashley and Mark Henry.
