WrestleMania 23, SmackDown!, Sylvan Update, & More

The first press conference for WrestleMania 23 will take place at Ford Field on July 25. The press conference will feature John Cena, Edge, Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton, Batista, Rey Mysterio, Booker T, Sharmell, Kelly, Big Show and Rob Van Dam.

The 6/30 edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown drew a 2.4 rating based on the fast nationals. Although there were preemptions for the show last night, it didn't take place in larger markets such as New York and Los Angeles.

Although I'm hesitant to report this since we get conflicting reports all the time out of UK airings of WWE programming, it appears the Sylvan "Ambassador of Quebec" spots have been edited off all airings of SmackDown in the UK.

The Calgary Sun is reporting that ECW is close to getting the air in Canada, but they did not mention a station.
