TORONTO, July 19 /CNW/ – The Score Television Network (TSX:SCR) has solidified its reputation as "the home for the hardcore" now that it has added World Wrestling Entertainment's "Monday Night RAW" to its programming roster on Mondays at 10 p.m. ET starting August 7, 2006 (repeats at 12:30 a.m. ET – 9:30 p.m. PT).

The move of RAW to The Score Television Network is part of a multi-faceted agreement that also calls for The Score to introduce a new WWE program in Canada which will air prime-time Sundays evenings, and that moves WWE's popular SmackDown(R) program, currently the No. 1 program on The Score, from Thursdays to Friday nights at 8:00 p.m. ET (repeats at 12:00 a.m. ET – 9:00 p.m. PT), beginning August 11.

"The Score is truly the home for the hardcore now that we've united the RAW and SmackDown properties on the same channel, and introduced our new WWE program," said David Errington, Senior Vice President and General Manager, The Score Television Network. "The Score caters to sports fans with unique viewing demands. We're delighted to be providing our loyal viewers with content that they identify with. We are looking to duplicate the same success that the USA Network experienced last fall when they acquired Monday Night RAW, by moving the No. 1 rated program on specialty television in Canada, Monday Night Raw, from TSN to The Score."

"We believe that this move will be a great one for our fans," said WWE Canada President, Carl DeMarco. "RAW will be seen by our fans each and every Monday night and this was a significant factor for WWE in making the decision to place RAW on The Score," he concluded.

To further underscore the new partnership, The Score will also broadcast "The Sexiest Woman on TV," The WWE Diva Search Finals on Wednesday, August 16, at 9:00 p.m. ET. This is the finale of the 2006 "$250,000 Diva Search," which marks the first time that this competition has been open to Canadians, and 2 of the final 8 contestants are Canadian – Maryse Ouellet from New Brunswick and Milena Roucka from British Columbia.

WWE Canada will be responsible for the selling of the commercial inventory with all WWE TV properties. As well, WWE Canada offers advertisers and corporate partners the ability to secure sponsorships/advertising within Pay Per Views, WWE Live Events, Magazines, and Online.
