AP Picks Up On Kurt Angle Leaving WWE

The Associated Press has picked up the story of Kurt Angle leaving the WWE. This means that the article of his departure will hit newspapers and news markets nationwide this week.

The story talks about how Angle said he is done with entertainment wrestling for now, but has not officially announced his retirement. It goes on to say Angle s decision was made when he injured his groin, tore an abdominal muscle, and injured a hamstring all during ECW s August 13th House Show in White Plains, NY. Angle then commented by saying he needs some time to heal before he can think about wrestling again.

The rest of the article goes over his career as an athlete competing in the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.

This is the first WWE Superstar release to make national newswire, but is because of his legitimate athletic background and Olympics accomplishment.
