Diva Search Special Rating, Chris Masters' New Look, Lots More

The 8/16 edition of the 2006 WWE Diva Search Finals, featuring Layla El of Miami winning the contest, drew a final 1.9 cable rating with a 3.0 share. That is a lot higher than I'm sure many were expecting the show to draw considering half the Raw audience chose not to tune in on Wednesday night. Get ready for the "it did better than TNA in the ratings" remarks soon.

A recent photo of Chris Masters in Ohio Valley Wrestling can be seen at img205.imageshack.us/img205/8765/mastersandhisbroadup2.jpg. Masters looks noticeably different from his earlier run with WWE this year. Masters, who was pulled off the road by WWE in what appeared to have been drug testing related, still hasn't been informed when he will return to the Raw roster.

The Miami Herald has an article up mentioning Layla El winning the 2006 WWE Diva Search contest this past week and her former status as a dancer for the Miami Heat at Miami.com.
