There is still no new contract between WWE and the Sci Fi Network. McMahon wants significant rights fees for the show, but the network claims they don't have the extra money in the budget. Dave Meltzer reports that the sides have agreed to a repeat showing, but WWE wants to be paid extra for that as well.
WWE recently hired new writers named Andrew Goldstein, John Carle, Dave Kapoor, and as previously mentioned, Pantelis Ypsilantis, who is working on the ECW staff.
At the conclusion of the Rey Mysterio-Chavo Guerrero program, Mysterio is expected to take time off to get knee surgery. It is believed he'll need knee reconstructive surgery, which would mean he'd miss at least six months of action.
The December 3 ECW PPV is now expected to be moved to Augusta, GA. The original plan was the Hammerstein Ballroom, but management wasn't happy with the September 1 ECW TV crowd, and had considered Chicago for the December PPV.
