Jeff Hardy/WWE/TNA, RAW, TV Tapings, Backstage News
Prior to Jeff Hardy resigning with WWE, TNA had considered bringing him back.
Raw on Telemundo on 7/15 (a repeat of the 7/10 Raw) scored a 2.76 Hispanic rating and 496,000 viewers. The 7/22 show did a 2.94 rating.
WWE has no plans of changing the weekly TV taping schedule. Despite internal lobbying for a separate ECW taping, Vince McMahon is only in favor of a third weekly taping if Sci Fi would offer to cover more of the production costs. On a side note, WWE has yet to clear a new deal with Sci Fi beyond the 8/22 episode, although ECW on Sci Fi is on the schedule into October.
Kevin Dunn missed the 8/1 tapings at the Hammerstein Ballroom as he was on vacation.
Steve Sims is reporting that WWE's 9/20 show has been moved from the 50,000 seat Plaza de Toros to the 20,000 seat Palacio De Los Deportes. The 9/23 show has been moved from the 18,000 Arena Monterrey (same arena being talked about for a potential 11/25 TNA show) to the 14,000 seat Plaza de Toro Monumental. Apparently, Rey Mysterio is not scheduled for the four day tour. Go figure.
