More On Angle's Injury, RAW On SCI-FI, ECW Rating, & More
The Wrestling Observer reports that Kurt Angle is being examined in regards to his recent groin injury and there remains no word on if he will miss any in-ring time. It should be noted that Angle did want to wrestle in the #1 Contendership Ladder Match on ECW last night and denied to many backstage that he was hurting. WWE officials made the call to pull him from the show, feeling it was for his own good. Angle also privately admit to those close to him that doing the match last night would have been a big challenge.
The Sci Fi Network will be airing WWE Monday Night Raw live on August 28 and most likely on September 4 as well when the U.S. Open will preempt Raw from airing live. USA will still show scheduled replays of Raw starting at 11pm ET/10pm CT. This will be possible thanks in part to NBC Universal.
Tuesday night's 8/15 edition of ECW on Sci Fi drew a final 2.3 cable rating with a 4 share. This is up from last week's 2.2 rating. ECW was the highest rated show on basic cable for last night.
