TNA iMPACT! Rating Rises, Joe/Styles, Capitol Punishment, More

The 8/17 edition of TNA iMPACT! drew a final 0.9 cable rating with a 2.0 share. That is way up from last week's very low 0.7 rating and could be a sign of things to come if UFC's audience continues to provide a solid lead-in for the company. Speaking of UFC, their programming before TNA faired very well. UFC Unleashed at 7pm ET did a 0.9 cable rating with a 1.8 share, Ultimate Fight Night Live did a 1.5 cable rating with a 2.4 share and the return of The Ultimate Fighter reality series did a 1.7 cable rating with a 2.9 share.

Samoa Joe and AJ Styles were at Midway Games last week working on the yet-to-be titled TNA video game. Joe and Styles worked with Midway Games programmers for the game that is scheduled to be released next year.
