Booker T Signs New WWE Contract, Masters' WWE Status

World Heavyweight champion King Booker T has signed a two-year contract extension, and claims he'll wrestle through 2009. Booker had previously talked about retiring due to back problems.

WWE's faith in Chris Masters has done a complete 180 in contrast to this time last year. A year ago, WWE believed that he was going to carry the company one day (because he had such a great body at such a young age) – that belief is long past gone. WWE probably won't let him go, although it wouldn't surprise anyone if that was the end result nowadays. At the moment, it doesn't look like he will be getting a push any time soon. As reported earlier, he lost approximately 30 pounds during his time away from the ring.
