MMA News: Mark Kerr's Return, Frye/Ruas, Chris Leben, Florian

Don Frye and Marco Ruas have joined the International Fight League (IFL) as coaches of two new fighting teams. Frye will head up the Scorpions, which is based out of Tucson, Arizona. Ruas will be the coach of the Southern California-based team called the Piranhas. IFL will launch their first full season with 12 full teams in the first quarter of 2007.

Mark Kerr's official MMA fighting return has been announced. Kerr was the star of the HBO documentary "The Smashing Machine" and will finally return to MMA competition for the first time since February 1st, 2004 (which was only a one-fight comeback after being retired since December of 2000). Kerr will fight Miletich Fighting Systems veteran and star of The Ultimate Fighter on Spike TV, Mike Whitehead on a November IFL card. The location and date of the show has yet to be announced.

Ultimate Fighter season one stand outs Chris Leben and Kenny Florian will be the special guests on the return edition of Combat Fighter Zone radio (CFZ Radio) live at www.MMANews.com on Wednesday, September 27th at 9:00PM ET/6:00PM PT.
