Backstage News & Notes From TNA iMPACT Tapings

There are several news and notes to report from Monday s iMPACT! tapings in Orlando, Florida. Tune in this Thursday night on iMPACT! on Spike TV for the countdown to the October 22 Bound For Glory Pay-Per-View extravaganza! Don t forget to watch history unfold on November 16 when iMPACT! moves to primetime starting at 9PM ET!

- After Kurt Angle arrived on Monday to the Impact Zone, he taped a very candid and emotional closed-door sitdown interview, the footage of which will air this Thursday night on iMPACT! . Those in attendance called it one of the most intense interviews they had ever seen in wrestling. Draped in the American Flag, Angle discussed a number of issues including the rumors on the internet concerning his health, his thoughts on his former employer as well as his new start in TNA Wrestling. It will definitely be a moment in TNA history you won t want to miss as Angle speaks out for the first time.

- Don t forget to catch Kurt Angle TONIGHT on the SpikeTV Scream Awards at 10 PM ET! Angle will be an award presenter along with actress/model Krista Allen.

- In perhaps a wrestling first, nearly every wrestling magazine in the world has contacted TNA in the past week regarding photos of Kurt Angle for the cover story for their upcoming issues!

- Expect news in the upcoming days on TNAwrestling.com concerning the TNA: Road To Glory special on SpikeTV prior to the Bound For Glory Pay-Per-View. The broadcast will be hosted by Jeremy Borash and TNA Knockout Christy Hemme.

- The Samoan Submission Machine Samoa Joe had the NWA World Heavyweight Title in his possession everywhere he went at the iMPACT! tapings. There s no word on how TNA management plans to get the gold away from Joe and back to its rightful owner, NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett.

- AJ Styles had his wife and year-and-a-half old son at the tapings, and it looks like junior will be just as much the gymnast and acrobat as his father. Standing on only one of AJ s hands, the youngster was able to balance himself for over a minute! The amazing toddler certainly got everyone s attention backstage. "The Phenomenal One" was an accomplished gymnast back in high school prior to entering wrestling.

- The Latin American Exchange s Hernandez suffered some nasty cuts on his forehead during a LAX brawl with AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels that will air on Thursday s iMPACT! on SpikeTV. Hernandez sustained the wounds during an out-of-control fight that covered nearly the entire arena. It took several stitches by medical staff to close the scars. TNA cameras were on hand to film the bloody aftermath, the footage of which will air on TNAwrestling.com in the coming days.
