Konnan Hurting Bad, Nash's Injury, Roode's Gimmick, More
Here's to the people questioning the severity of Kevin Nash's shoulder injury back in August, which forced him to pull out of his scheduled pay-per-view match with Chris Sabin the day before the event. He got the injury when lifted his son's toy chest, but he forget that he had put some heavy weights in the chest previously. Nash got surgery last week which is why he was in a sling at the Genesis PPV.
Konnan is going to have hip replacement surgery soon. He's in such bad shape these days that he needed a cane to get around at the last Impact tapings.
In a recent interview, Bobby Roode said that his new character is based on a combination of Randy Savage (his angle introducing a new manager was copied from Savage's angle introducing Miss Elizabeth), "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig (his personal favorite wrestler), and JBL (the stock market whiz gimmick and being billed from Wallstreet). Roode also said that he's been watching a ton of Hennig tapes as of late.
