Major Backstage ECW News: Vince/Stephanie, & More

The script for the ECW December to Dismember PPV was edited by Vince and Stephanie McMahon, and rumors suggest Triple H and Michael Hayes also had a hand in on making changes.

Believe it or not, the original idea was for CM Punk to be eliminated first in the elimination chamber.

As I noted after the PPV, the decision was made a few days before December to Dismember to remove Sabu from the extreme elimination chamber match. From what I understand, it was WWE's way of punishing him for recent behavioral issues.

Before the PPV, there was talk of turning Bobby Lashley heel during the elimination chamber match.

I'm not sure what the final attendance was for the show, but it was heavily papered.
