Paul Heyman And Big Show Gone From ECW

Both the Big Show and Paul Heyman are done with ECW as of now.

Big Show's departure has been expected for several months, as he's been battling several major injuries, particularly his back. WWE officials were hopeful that Show could work through WrestleMania, where they had been planning to program him with Hulk Hogan. As of right now, that match seems doubtful at best, and many feel that Big Show's wrestling career may be over. He finished up with ECW, losing to Bobby Lashley in a match that will air tomorrow night on Sci Fi.

While Big Show's departure was expected, Paul Heyman's wasn't. WWE.com reported earlier today that Paul Heyman appeared to be distant and depressed this afternoon at the North Charleston Coliseum hours before tonight's ECW tapings. Later, Vince McMahon sent Heyman home, citing slumping television ratings and a disgruntled talent roster as causes for the dismissal.

This is not a work or storyline, and we can confirm that he's been let go by the company following last night's ECW PPV.

According to PWInsider.com, Heyman had a meeting with Vince McMahon earlier today and was then escorted from the venue. It appears as if Heyman has been removed from the ECW creative team and looks to be entirely done with WWE, although he's not (yet) been released from his contractual obligations.
