WSX Rating Scores Huge, Other RAW/SD! Ratings
Last night's "official debut" of Wrestling Society X on MTV drew a final 1.0 cable rating. An audience share has yet to be released at this time. Either way, that is a VERY impressive debut rating for WSX and MTV, especially with the show going head-to-head with the last 30 minutes of ECW on Sci Fi which normally draws in the 1.4-1.5 range. So while talk and concern within WWE circles yesterday about Wrestling Society X at the Smackdown and ECW tapings in Houston were considered silly at the time, given this impressive debut rating, the show could actually turn out to be legit competition for WWE's ECW on Tuesday night's.
The 1/29 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw drew a final 4.2 cable rating with a 6.2 share. The first hour scored a 4.0 rating, while the second hour scored a 4.3 rating. This rating is up from last week's 4.1 rating and with the NFL and any form of football on Monday night out of the picture, a spike in the ratings is always a good thing for the company heading into WrestleMania 23.
The 1/28 edition of WWE A.M. Raw drew a final 0.7 cable rating with a 3.1 share.
As reported earlier, the 1/26 edition of WWE Friday Night Smackdown drew a final 2.7 broadcast rating with a 4.6 share. That is down from last week's 2.9 rating.
