Ric Flair Not @ WM23?, Nitro's WWE Status, More

It appears that Ric Flair will not be on camera this Sunday at WrestleMania. Mike Johnson is reporting that Vince only sees Flair as just another performer and nothing more. He respects Flair's contributions to the wrestling business but doesn't see him being important enough to be on the show.

There was a plan for Carlito and Flair to work a match at the show but those plans have changed. So unless they do a quick cameo backstage, we won't be seeing Flair on this year's WrestleMania PPV.

In related news, the WWE creative team does not have Johnny Nitro sketched in to the show for a wrestling match. It appears that he may do a backstage interview or maybe accompany Melina in her match with Ashley.

Joey Mercury's release has not affected Nitro's status.
