Chavo Guerrero On Kerwin White, Eddie, Vickie, More
In the new issue of WWE Magazine featuring Steve Austin on the cover, there's an interview with Chavo Guerrero. He talks about the Eddie Guerrero storyline, Vickie Guerrero, his former gimmick Kerwin White, former Diva Search contestant Amy Zidian, and more. Here are some excerpts from the interview:
With everything that's been going on in the ring involving Rey Mysterio and Vickie Guerrero, have you ever felt that any of it was disrespectful to Eddie?
Absolutely not. Hey, if I wanted to be a real jerk about it, I could have been upset that Rey Mysterio was coming out in low riders. Eddie and I used to do that originally, so I definitely could have interpreted it as Rey taking my spot. Sometimes you simply have to stand up for what you believe in. I think Eddie would have been proud of that.
You think he'd be cool with Vickie's appearances on SmackDown?
I know he's looking down on Vickie and saying, "That's my girl." For someone who's never been in the business, she's one of our best Divas.
OK–let's talk about Kerwin White, the controversial, uber-Caucasion alter ego you experimented with a couple years back. Care to give us your opinion of that whole deal?
It may not have been a high point in my career, but I was thankful for it because I was able to get away from being overshadowed by Eddie for a little bit. But if you remember, the very next day after Eddie died, I was back to being Chavo Guerrero.
Care to vent about Amy Zidian, the Diva Search wannabe and Jimmy Wang Yang's short-lived handler, who was fired after giving Vickie crap backstage about "Not looking like the other Divas"?
Amy who? Look, this business isn't for everyone, I don't think it was her fault, she just didn't know any better, and ended up making a fool of herself. Vickie was a little upset about it, because she's not a Playboy cover girl. She looks great, but she's a real mom, and a real person. That's what makes her different than other Divas.
