Recap Of Triple H Baseball Game Appearance
Recap Written by: Chris Ramey and PWInsider.com
I just got back from the Triple H signing at the Nashua Pride game in Nashua, NH. Let me start off by saying that Holman Stadium where the signing was at, has no clue how to organize a big event like this.
When we got to the ballpark, I went to get standing room tickets. They told me that they were sold out of standing room and only had reserved left. That was fine I just wanted to get in. So after paying a little more, we got in the line to get into the ballpark. This line stretched into the street where people were driving in and there was no one there to tell people to get off of the street. After a few minutes of waiting, we got in.
The game started on time and Triple H came out to throw out the first pitch. I couldn't hear it all that well, but from what I gather it was actually his niece that threw out the pitch. Triple H then coached first base for the first three innings. However, every time he would enter and exit the dugout, he would get mobbed with people asking him for autographs. He would politely decline them and go about what he was doing.
After the end of the second inning we decided to find out where the actual signing was going to be. All we had to do was follow the already long line. When Triple H sat down to start, the line did not move for a good hour. From what we were told, people were having multiple items signed. One person told me that someone at the front of the line had about 20 items. There was no one making sure there were no line jumpers, which there were, and no one checking to see how many items everyone had. After a while someone went through the line telling us that Triple H will only sign one item.
Finally after two and a half hours, my friend and I reach The Game. At this point he seemed aggravated and would not smile for pictures or even talk to anyone. I told him that it was nice to meet him and handed him my action figure. After he signed it, I asked him for a picture and he said fine. After we took the picture, my friend said that she didn't want to waste his time but wanted to shake his hand. He totally ignored her and was yelling at someone to shut up.
All in all, it was nice to finally meet my all time favorite wrestler, but they should have been at least some what organized. You really can't blame Triple H for being in a mood when there was no organization. I for one will never go back to that ballpark ever again.
