WWE Nixes The ECW December To Dismember PPV

During today s First Quarter Earnings Release conference call, WWE Chief Operating Officer Michael Sileck announced that the company would be pulling the second annual ECW December to Dismember pay-per-view event from its schedule. According to Sileck, three WWE pay-per-views in five weeks is just too much.

This news does not come as a surprise to anyone backstage in WWE considering that last year s ECW December to Dismember was an abysmal failure. While the show did include an Elimination Chamber main event, only two matches were promoted, and the entire event lasted just over two hours. Consequently Paul Heyman was demoted as the lead writer for the ECW brand shortly after.

The 2007 edition of ECW December to Dismember was scheduled to take place from Charlotte, North Carolina.
