TNA News: iMPACT!, Slammiversary Changes, & Lots More
The 6/9 Saturday replay of TNA iMPACT! drew a final 0.5 cable rating with a 1.1 share.
As we reported earlier today, the originally scheduled Frank Wycheck vs. James Storm for this Sunday's Slammiversary PPV has now been changed to a tag team match featuring Wycheck & Jerry Lynn vs. Storm & Ron "The Truth" Killings. Many are wondering how TNA will explain Killings teaming with a heel James Storm upon his return to the ring for the company.
TNA has yet to announce any change to the scheduled TNA World Tag Team Title match involving champions Team 3D and challengers The Steiner Brothers for the Slammiversary PPV. As we have covered, Scott Steiner is still in Puerto Rico recovering from his trachea surgery and won't be able to compete at the PPV this Sunday in Nashville. Of course, that is what we are being told. It is possible TNA could announce something on TV tonight, although a match was taped three weeks ago featuring Scott Steiner that will air tonight.
